A thriller about a 'fixer' for a big legal firm who starts to doubt why he does the work he does, especially when things get even more dangerous than normal. George Clooney isn't one of my favourite actors, but does well in this film. It's a complex story, but ultimately fulfilling. The story was a little bit like Erin Brokavitch from a different perspective.

A book I found very well reasoned and comprehensively put together expounding the reasons why we should reject superstition and religion and takes a critical look at the arguments used by those on both sides of the discussion. For me it was a case of coals to Newcastle, but it was worthwhile reading the work of someone who has spent a lot of work on refuting dogma and actually making people think about the things they 'believe'. His style is quite forthright, but not, I felt, in a preachy fashion.
A book I wish more people would read!

A Nokia Smartphone with built-in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and a 3 megapixel camera. Small area, but rather deep. Symbian operating system allows new programs to be added. Battery life is a little short, and with heavy use would need daily charging.

A novel, well made watch that uses over 100 miniture LEDs to tell the time. It can also show the date and alarms can be set. It's a very interesting watch and always draws eyes in the bar.

Visited the Milton Keynes Harvester for the first time recently and was pleasantly suprised. Although it's a big chain restaurant it felt (almost) like a large local pub. The food was OK but not stellar, and the trick appears to be not to load up on the salad bar before you main course arrives. Good for families.

Large shopping centre with almost every highstreet brand representated. Great place to go shopping as there are the large department stores as well as smaller independant retailers in the market stalls in the walkways. I can't compare it to other large shopping centres, but I can say it's a good place to visit with everything under one roof.
