The Tap Bar, which claims to be "family run" is not at all 'family friendly.' My husband and I visited the Tap Bar with our baby for an afternoon coffee and cake, when we were ousted out and told to sit out the back or outside - where the Patio heaters were off! The back of the Tap Bar smells of toilets and is adjacent to their kitchen area. The Manager claims there is no need for a sign to inform the public of their "No children Policy" in the nice part of the Bar, as if you had been there before you would know.
In short, very unfriendly and totally babyist! Pehaps, if they were an exclusive restaurant I could understand.
