If at all possible you should avoid travelling at peak times. The airport is filled to capacity and then some. It has a reasonable selection of shops, but could do with a face-lift. It does not help that it is operated by BAA.

This is a small railway station at one end of the Birmingham Cross-City line -- the other being Lichfield Trent Valley. Until recently the station was operated by Central Trains, until they lost their franchise to London Midland(!). Good riddance! CT had one of the worst operating records in British Railway history. The station consists of one building containing a shop, a ticket office and a toilet. It is served by only one line so there is no confusion as to which train to take. It is conveniently situated across the road from Redditch bus station and the Kingfisher shopping centre.

New Street Station is one of the busiest railway stations in the UK, and is one of three large stations in Birmingham -- the others being Moor Street and Snow Hill. It connects the Midlands to destinations throughout England and Wales. It does not currently serve the Eurostar network. I think that Snow Hill Station is in a slightly worse state than New Street Station, but neither are particularly appealing.

SushiSushi is the only sushi restaurant in Aalborg. It serves both eat-in and take-away customers. It is a rather small but cosy place located in the middle of town, easy to get to, and only a short bus ride from Aalborg international airport. The food is very fresh and you may permit the sushi chefs to create a unique selection of food for you.
