We had adisappointment when we ate there recently. The disappointment was actually more in the attitude of the managaress who obviously is not well trained in customer service skills.
On the bar menu was a ‘house platter’ which offered “something of everything” from the 6 normal items.
When we complained that we didn’t in fact get several of the things mentioned, we were shrugged off with “that’s what we’ve always served and no one has complained before”. We also had been given one or two substituted items which, we pointed out, if we’d known were going to be included we wouldn’t have ordered because they were not things we liked.
We had a very long row and eventually she agreed to send me a letter voucher for the amount to exchange against a future meal - but this never arrived. We should never have had to argue so long and hard to make our point, nor should we have been made a promise she obviously did not intend to keep.
