Michelle, the terms of the insurance are posted on our website, therefore, for one of our agents to advise you that you can cancel for any reason is not true. Tell me why we would tell you that when you can easily see if for yourself. Any travel insurance you buy form whom ever, does not allow a refund to a nonrefundable ticket just because you cannot go. It is for emergencies while traveling, medical issues, delayed luggage, delays or cancelled flights, but not for change of plans. Also, the airlines are the ones who planes goes out empty, not Cheapoair.com, we are the travel agency, therefore the vacant seat does not have an impact on us. The airlines are the ones who have made getting refunds impossible, not the travel companies. If anyone has a concern regarding not being able to get refunds, they should be addressed to the airlines, I don't agree with the policy either. I am sorry that plans changed, and has caused undue stress, but these are your actions and not the fault of anything Cheapoair did and is beyond our control.
We would be glad to assist you with the rebooking of the flights when you are ready to reschedule.

I know this an old posting, but Cheapoair.com will never change your flights, we have no reason to change them. The customer is responding to an airline schedule change, which we have to notify the customer. Everyone always assumes that the travel agents are at fault for the flight operations of the airlines. Ultimately they are the ones who denied the original booking, and made changes along the way.
The airline companies reap in the money, but fail to take responsibility for their operation failures, and the blame get's placed on the travel companies, that sold the consumer the ticket.
How fair is that? also the customer had a choice if they didn't want to pay the cost then cancel the booking. Don't pay for a ticket you agreed upon, and later complain about it.

For those complaints regarding CHEAPOAIR changing their flights, that is not accurate. The airlines undergo schedule changes constantly and are the ones responsible for making changes to itinearies. We are the ones who will notify you of the changes. If you are not a frequent traveler, you may not be aware of how the airlines operate.
We will assist you in anyway to realign your flight reservations, however, the airlines have the final say on what flights are to be confirmed. We do offer flight insurance for such occurances if flights are cancelled. This is very useful due to most airline tickets being non refundable.
