A brilliant spooky childrens book. It really captures the imagination. The villain is truly terrifying, and the bizarre world the main character is transported to is full of wonderful thing and horrible things in equal measure.
A very short read (unfortunately) with lovely illustrations.

A unique city, in which you need a car.
Despite the road system being a grid, with roads being either 'H' for horizontal or 'V' for vertical and numbered, it is easy to get lost because most of it looks the same as the rest of it.
Nice shops, interesting people and a snow dome.
