A small-town's best bitter that lives up to the expectations Ludlow's come to have in the cooking and dining scene. Quite hoppy, and balanced.

The Unicorn pub on lower Corve Streed in historic Ludlow is a wonderful place to catch a drink, meal or some local banter. The convivial atmosphere is enhanced by a recent unplanned renovation since the Corve burst its banks in 2007. Since then, the Unicorn has been re-done and fits in nicely with its gastro-pub feeling. The beer is good, with a modest selection of locally-brewed ales; and the food is definitely better than average. The most positive aspect of the Unicorn is the charm of its proprieter and staff.
