Ryton Gardens is located on a 10 acre site in Warwichshire near the village of Ryton, between Coventry and Rugby.
The gardens are essentially a collection smaller experimental gardens each representing a style or method of organic gardening. Most of the gardens are beautiful in their own right, bursting with colour, scents and shapes.
The site as a whole does not, however pull these gardens together well and there is a certain disjointed feeling to their arrangement.
The shop associated with the gardens is excellent. It stocks a wide range of organic and environmentally considerate products. The shop also offers a limited range of produce from the gardens themselves which I would highly recommend.
The big disappointment for me was the cafe. There was a small cafe providing organic food and drink of a very limited range. I felt it was all very much over-priced. The site also has a restaurant and I feel they may be trying to push people to using it but haven't quite got the balance right.
Overall I would highly recommend it. I spent a happy 4 hours there.
