Review of: Fairmont Chateau Laurier, Ottawa, Ontario

First I must say this place is rated 5 stars in many hotel guides. Keeping this in mind you would expect a great experience... Well... if you are talking price, yep it was expensive, but the quality wasn't there at all. The room had nothing special, I mean it was fine don't get me wrong, but just not worth 5 stars. Now the restaurant, the bill was about 200$ including wine. So you would expect great service... it wasn't. You would have get the same service in any decent restaurant, but you would have save 100$ or more. The food was fade, almost tasteless and the portioning, oh my god! You expect smaller portion in a restaurant of fine cuisine, but I mean I got 2 shrimps and a tiny bit of veggies as my main dish... It looked nice though, but first thing I knew was that my plate was empty and so was my stomach! Finally, if you visit ottawa or live there you can totally avoid this place.
