Google Friend Connect has been launched into a larger beta form, starting December 1st, 2008. You will start to see more and more websites enabled with Google Friend Connect. It is very easy for a webmaster to install on their system. 10 minutes tops.

People can join Google Friend Connect through your site, make friends with other Google Friend Connect members, post comments and reviews of either your entire website or specific pages, or even items on a webpage, all depending how you set it up.

It's still primitive but the potential is grand.

You will also notice Google Profiles showing up, which is a very new service related to Google Friend Connect.
