Reader BEWARE ! I was unfortunate enough to stay at this place earlier in the year and God was it awful!! The food is nothing to write home about even though throughout the web you will find reviews prasing the steaks. I can only guess it was before it changed hands ? As for the accomodation and service of the B&B part of the business - just think third rate Travel Lodge and you will be somewhere near and all for the pricely sum of £65 per night for a double room, making it one of the most expensive B&Bs in the country no doubt. Stay clear and save your money for somewhere decent !

Whilst I haven't stayed in the accommodation, I must agree with the other reviewer. I had a Sunday lunch there a few weeks ago and this place has seriously gone down hill since the days when I lived in West Bletchley and this was one of my regular haunts. I would say that only 40% of my traditional Sunday roast was actually edible. Not cheap either.

My wife and I called in for a meal @ 1300hrs on 7.5.08 after a long drive up from Wales. The food was overpriced. The service was abysmal and when the meal eventually arrived it wouldn`t have fed a cat. The place is a joke.I don`t know what it is "famous" for but I would deffinately not recommend this pub to eat in !

I have recently moved to Milton Keynes and had family visitors. We tried the Lowndes Arms for Sunday lunch and all of ou visitors commented on how lucky we were to have this wonderful pub on our doorstep. The roast beef was like you would expect at home and real roast potatoes. It will certainly become our local!
